The workshop will begin with a comprehensive introduction to the equipment and materials required for soap making, emphasising affordability and sustainability. You'll learn to source these items responsibly, ensuring a planet-friendly approach to your soap-making.

Our instructor will guide you through a detailed demonstration of mixing and preparing your soap base. You'll witness the process of combining oils, lye (made from caustic soda), and other key ingredients to create a luxurious soap from scratch. Safety is paramount, and we'll provide thorough guidance on handling caustic soda safely throughout the process.

After the demonstration, it's your turn to explore your creativity! You can choose from various essential oils, colours, gentle exfoliants, and other enticing ingredients to customise your soap to perfection. The possibilities are endless, whether you prefer a soothing lavender scent or a refreshing citrus burst.

All materials and tools will be supplied on the day, ensuring a hassle-free experience. Don't worry about transporting your creations home; we recommend bringing a bath towel and plastic bag to carry your freshly made soaps safely. Please wear long sleeves and closed-toe shoes.

At the end of the workshop, you'll depart with your personalised soaps and detailed instructions on how to complete the curing process at home. No prior creative experience is necessary, all you need is a passion for crafting natural, sustainable products.
