About this experience

This course runs for four weeks, from March 16th to April 13th. There will be no class on March 30th (Easter Saturday).

Join our Ceramic Teapot Making Course and discover the art of crafting teapots from scratch. Delve into the fascinating world of teapot design and explore the science behind their construction.

Our instructor will guide you over four weeks, covering every aspect of teapot creation. You will learn the secrets of teapot design and understand form and function. Discover the principles of balance, ergonomics, and aesthetics that make a teapot a vessel and a work of art.

Get hands-on with the pottery wheel and master the techniques required to create stunning teapot forms. With our guidance, you can bring your vision to life, transforming a mound of clay into a functional masterpiece.

You'll learn the art of crafting handles, spouts, and lids that enhance functionality and add a touch of artistry to your teapots. Gain an understanding of the materials, glazes, and firing techniques that bring out the best in your creations.

The extended three-hour sessions spread across four weeks offer ample time each week to practice and perfect your skills, and the cost of the course covers everything you need, including clay, glaze, and firing.

If you're interested in dedicating more time to practising, Clay Club hosts regular sessions throughout the week.

To attend, it’s necessary that you are confident on the wheel. This is not a workshop for beginners.

Please wear closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothing and nothing you fear getting dirty (clay washes out, but it's best not to take chances).
Long nails and pottery don't mix! It is highly recommended that yours are trimmed short for the session.

PLEASE BRING A TOWEL EACH WEEK.

The Studio ensures every effort is taken to guarantee the survival of your work through the unpredictable ceramics process. However, the Studio can not be liable for potential losses in the kiln firing.

WORKSHOPS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE. PLEASE READ OUR Cancellation & Refund Policy. BY BOOKING A WORKSHOP, YOU AGREE TO THESE POLICIES.
